Senses Designated Place is a play on words derived from the civic definition of a part of the Greater New Orleans Region named Metairie. The United States Census Buruea officially identifies Metarie as a Census Designated Place and not a city.
Living most of my life in Metairie, Louisiana, this elusive concept of a non-place of places has inspired me to capture this notion with the ineffable expressivity of the non-place of music.
